Dark Days

The past 24hours have been a drama filled roller coaster. The old me would have said "screw it" and found some comfort in the closest bag of chocolate...but I'm proud to say I didn't handle the stress that way this time.

Women...what can I say. You put more than 2 in a room and the sparks will eventually fly. I can't stand drama. I feel like I am having to leave so many things and people behind on my journey to change. I'm sure it's for the best, but hard to face so many changes. I guess when your really trying to accomplish a goal - you can truly see who your supporters are - and who more importantly are the saboteurs. I'm just having to work thru eliminating all the negative in my life.

On a brighter note I weighted in at a loss of 1lb this week - I'LL TAKE IT!

  1. Sadly we will all be faced with saboteurs.
The last time I tried to loose weight I made the mistake of partnering up with one. Every time she wanted to go off the diet she would convenience me to so that she wouldn't have to feel guilty about her own poor choices.

I am very proud of you for not running to the kitchen for comfort. Do not be angry at your saboteur feel sorry for them. For they know not what they do.

    Continue on and be strong.
    WooHoo another pound gone! Congrats.

  2. Only I can be my saboteur. If I'm strong, no one can sabotage my efforts. If they try ... bring it on!

I agree with Woke Up. Feel sorry for anyone who gets in the way of you achieving your goals.

  3. Sadly, as we find our path, we will leave a few people behind. I feel the same way. I want my share of peace and joy and I do not want to be sidetracked with pettiness, gossip, drama and the like. So as the old saying goes. "lead, follow or get the f*ck out of my way."

  4. Oh, it does get interesting, doesn't it?

Sometimes I don't think people think about what comes out of their mouths really. I chose to begin looking at it differently - that it's all about their own insecurities and issues and nothing to do with me. I like that perspective. :) Keeps me sane.

    Hang in there!

  5. I am right there with ya lady!

Glad you resisted the tempation and stay strong.

Who did you choose today?
