That was exactly what went through my mind when I stepped on the scale this morning! I am 1/10 of a pound away from 70lbs lost. I want that 10th REALLY bad.
It amazing how you change on this lifestyle change journey. I started out wanting to lose weight. As time has passed I now am more focused on being healthy. I still want to lose the pounds but my eating has completely shifted. While trying to eat "made over" meals, lean cuisines and 100 calorie packs of the old food I started thinking that most of it was probably not the BEST fuel for my body. It wasn't something one day I woke up and thought "I'm gonna try a new way of eating"...just a gradual change.
What a HUGE improvement it has made for me. I am in love with healthy natural foods. I haven't had sodas in weeks, totally on decaf. coffee (still loving a bit of sugar free creamer). I never envisioned this is where I would be 6months into this journey...BUT It's great.
Great indeed, and it feels so good, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteBTW, could I be so bold as to ask a favor of you? WOuld you please consider allowing comments from Name/URL? Otherwise I use OpenID, which really doesn't work that well. Of course, it is your blog, do as you wish, but I, for one, would greatly appreciate it.
Congratulations on such a great loss so far!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for changing this!
ReplyDeleteI really like your point about starting out wanting to lose weight but starting to focus more on getting healthy. Sounds like you've changed your outlook to one you'll have your whole life ... not just until you hit your goal weight.
ReplyDeleteI love your 5 pounds a month goal! What an awesome way to work toward a LASTING Goal. Chances are you'll be pleasantly surprised when you surpass the goal , instead of disappointed when you fall short.
